Indonesia continues to be one of the world's leading producers in terms of mining output. This is in part due to the Grasberg mine, which has the world's largest gold deposits and second-largest copper deposits. Indonesia is also the second-largest producer of tin, behind China, and was the second-biggest coal exporter in 2018, after Australia.
