State of the Art Technology in Slab Continuous Casting:
The thick slab casting with a speed of 0.4 m/min has been developed to produce thick slabs with an improved internal quality to meet the demand for thicker plates. The ultra-thick slab semi-continuous casting with a speed of 0.05–0.2 m/min has been also developed for final products with thicknesses up to 233 mm.
