8103 posts · Joined 2011. #2 · Feb 9, 2023. For turning tools the wet stone is very slow to sharpen, so the slow speed grinders seemed to be more widely used. But for chisels, plane blades, kitchen knives, and most everything else I prefer the wet stone grinder, and for plane blades and most chisels I like the Worksharp even better.
